Rosh Hashanah Evening Services

Broadcast from Congregation Beth Adam

With Rabbi Robert Barr and Rabbi Laura Baum
Available: Monday, September 29th at 8:15 PM E.S.T.

We’ll also have our Rosh Hashanah morning services available on OurJewishCommunity.org on Tuesday, September 30th at 10:30 AM.

We are very excited about videostreaming our High Holiday services. As you may know, this is the first time we are doing this. So, we have no idea how many people will join us for services or what the experience will be like. Given our limited budget, we are also using free technology (ustream) – we do not necessarily endorse the rest of the site, but we do appreciate having the opportunity to use their technology to present our services to you. In the future, if this is successful, we hope to be able to afford high quality videostreaming.

Please let us know if you joined us for services – let us know how you heard about us – let us know how this experience could be improved. As you know, we are building OurJewishCommunity.org together. Your insights, suggestions, and support are deeply appreciated.

Thanks so much for letting us in to your Temple Virtually. For so many reasons we have not been able to get to services for several years. I have always sought out something on these days to bring some part of the holiday into my life. Normally this amounts to music or commentary found on various podcast or Youtube.

It was nice last night while searching for something worthy to catch the end (I am in Los Angeles so you were concluding as I came home from work) of your evening service and then to be able to catch the whole thing again via the achieve.

This AM when my wife commented that she wished there was something she could do to connect with the holiday I suggested we watch your day service.

Thanks for being the first to be progressive enough to extend your services to the internet.

Judaism and temples should be about community and I fear many temples do not look far enough past their door steps.

Keep up your efforts and a following will grow.

Firqby – thanks so much for your comments. I’m so glad that you and your wife joined us for services – and hope you’ll be back for Yom Kippur! Happy New Year!
